Stories feature strongly here and even though you might feel like your business isn’t a natural fit, it’s worth noting that Stories have over 500 million daily active users on Instagram and more than 1.25 billion across Facebook’s various tools.

IGTV isn’t yet capturing a lot of attention but that means there’s an opportunity for you to take advantage of this more long format video space – up to 10 minutes for normal users.  Could be great for those quick interviews on the sidelines of important conferences!  Essentially it’s TV made for your phone;)  Read more about IGTV and its global roll out over the coming months.  Or just use Instagram Live in Stories!

Shopping tags and Checkout are still in the early stages of roll out so while many see potential, there’s not a lot of actual use.  Watch out though as the shopping tags are available in some Asian countries and with some managed partners in Hong Kong so should be general released sooooooon!

One serious complaint marketers had about Instagram is the limited features of their native analytics which are pretty poor on details hashtag info as well as being able to select specific date ranges.
